Florida District Courts of Appeal

Florida did not have district courts of appeal until 1957. Before that, all appeals were heard by the Florida Supreme Court.

• First District Court of Appeal. Located in Tallahassee, and covering the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th and 14th Circuit Courts.
• Second District Court of Appeal. Located in Lakeland, and covering the 6th, 10th, 12th, 13th and 20th Circuits Courts.
• Third District Court of Appeal. Located in Miami, and covering the 11th and 16th Circuits Courts.
• Fourth District Court of Appeal. Located in West Palm Beach, and covering the 15th, 17th and 19th Circuits Courts.
• Fifth District Court of Appeal. Located in Daytona Beach, and covering the 5th, 7th, 9th and 18th Circuits Courts.
